Tryst - Band Picture The word is out, and the jury is in: Tryst is officially the hottest addition to the Chicago dance band scene. Led by celebrated female vocalist Typhanie Monique this 6- to 8-piece dance band packs all of the versatile punch of a much larger dance band, putting their own distinctive twist on classic and contemporary hits with a hip, sophisticated flavor.

Typhanie has mined her deep connections in the Chicago music community to bring together a diverse and talented group of musicians, each uniquely skilled to cover the widest possible range of great dance music. From classic R&B jams to pulsating rock tunes to hot-off-the-shelf dance hits, the band’s infectious grooves add energy and excitement that draw guests toward the dance floor.

May 29, 2011 - Carnivale

From the beginning, we had a fabulous experience with Tryst. Typhanie was so enthusiastic and outgoing when we met her, she even sang to us in a coffee house! She would promptly answer all of our questions throughout the whole process, even planning a secret song with my mother to surprise me on the night of the wedding singing, "Just the way you are" by Bruno Mars. The night of our wedding couldn't have been more perfect. Tryst kept the music going all night long and our dance floor was always packed with adults and children. We had several guests, young and old, comment on how amazing our band was that night. The only complaint was that our dance floor was too small! As you listened to the music throughout the night, it was nice to hear classic oldies as well as some recent pop hits to keep all generations dancing and having a good time. Typhanie and Tryst knew exactly how to keep the high energy going all night long. We couldn't have asked for a better band to celebrate with us and help us create such an amazing night. Thanks for everything!

September 25, 2010 - Blackstone Hotel

Tryst was an amazing addition to our wedding. The band kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all night. Our guests, young and old, continuously commented on how great the music sounded and what a difference it made to have a live band. The benefit of live performers who understand how to keep a crowd involeved cannot be be enphasized enough. August 7, 2010 - Orrington Hotel

I just wanted to say thank you for putting on one hell of a show at our wedding!!!! Ever since our wedding (August 7), people have not stopped talking about how much they loved the band TRYST!!!! People have been saying that our wedding was one of the BEST that they have ever been to because they loved the music selection! I loved how there was continuous music throughout the reception! Also, Matt and I loved how the ceremony turned out. Matt especially loved hearing Rosalinda's Eyes as he was walking down the aisle. I knew our wedding would be a night that we would never forget, but now I realize that it will be a night that about 200 people will never forget!

March 2010 - McCormick Place

Tryst's performance at our International Reception enlivened the atmosphere of the event! The band's high-energy and festive contribution encouraged our guests to dance up until final call. By working with Typhanie to plan the evening, pre-event, I knew that everything would run smoothly on the night of the event due to Typhanie's thoroughness.
